About the Artist
Nancy Chiu/Fountain Valley, CA Raised in a traditional Asian family in Taiwan, Nancy Chiu’s parents tried to convince her of the idea that all artists are alcoholics, and that they never become famous until after they die of poverty or starvation. Despite her father’s theory, Nancy followed her heart and has since blossomed into an accomplished artist. She earned a BFA in illustration and is now working on her MFA in illustration at California State University, Long Beach. When not in school, Nancy works as a freelance graphic artist.
About INTRO
INTRO Art and Fashion Competition was an opportunity for undiscovered artists to INTROduce their creative visions to the world. During this competition, artists were encouraged to submit their creations in hopes of making it into one of three winning spots for a chance to host their own art show and receive royalties on a tote they design.
